Japanese guitar master Shin-Ichi Fukuda, known as Bach of the guitar, brought a feast of the spirit and the mind to his audience with his magnificent skills on the 4 suites for Lute in the Sun Memorial Hall in Soochow University on April 17th.
This event was held by Soochow University’s Art Center, Taiwan Guitar Society, Taipei Genesis Chamber Orchestra, and co-organized by Soochow University’s Department of Music. The performance was further highlighted with the unique timbre of each of the four guitars Maestro Fukuda used to present the Lute Suites of Bach.
The awards-winning Japanese guitarist expressed his concern for the recent Kyushu earthquake, and dedicated the performance to Japan hoping to bring blessings and warmth to his fellow countrymen. The melody of guitar strings accompanied the audience through a peaceful afternoon; wonderful moments streaming by and weariness washed away.
Shin-Ichi Fukuda healed every wounded heart, brought blessings to all with his most touching movement.
