On February 7th and 8th, 148 high school students from across Taiwan toured around Soochow University’s Waishuanghsi campus, and experienced what it’s like to be an SU undergraduate through games and by taking part in the courses they feel interested in.
The organizing unit, the Admissions Division, along with members of SU Camp divided the two-day event into “College Living Navigation Day” and “College Learning Exploration Day.”.
Right after SU Vice President Chyan-Long Jan, inaugurated the camp with an opening remark, “College Living Navigation Day” started off with some Soochow students giving lively performances and later sharing their personal experiences, followed by a campus tour and a scavenger hunt that facilitated the high school visitors’ basic acquaintance with SU.
On the second day, “College Learning Exploration Day,” the young learners had the chance to choose their own courses for the day, which enabled them to probe into the majors they might be taking. Teachers and alumni from different departments jointly gave them a taste of their courses’ contents and features.
Same as the last SU Camp two years ago, a stamp card activity was set up to encourage participants to explore the campus and immerse in the surrounding nature.
