Soochow Business School receives AACSB Accreditation ranks among top 5% business schools globally

Soochow University’s School of Business is now placed at the top 5% of business schools in the world, as certified by AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) Accreditation on 15 February 2017.

AACSB is the most widely recognized and credible accreditation institute for business schools and programs. Currently, 786 universities from 53 different countries have received this accreditation, including Harvard, and Yale of USA, Cambridge, and Oxford of UK, and National Taiwan University, National Chengchi University, and Fu Jen Catholic University of Taiwan. In receiving this accreditation, Soochow University’s School of Business has joined the ranks of renowned business programs around the world. This is an honor for the School of Business, and also for Soochow University as a whole, as the recognition will greatly help elevate Soochow’s reputation across the globe.

The School of Business applied for membership in 2008, and has gone through the many stages of stringent self-examination, submitting progress reports, setting and improving courses, tracing and analyzing students learning results, assisting in research as required by AACSB’s accreditation standards. To be able to satisfy the eligibility and accreditation requirements is recognition to the staff and faculty members of Soochow’s Business School for meeting the highest quality in teaching and management.

A three-member committee appointed by the AACSB carried out an accreditation review visit last November, and was very impressed with teaching, learning, and students of the School of Business. Based on the results of the review, the team then met and discussed with President Wei-Da Pan, Vice-President Wei-Liang Chao, School of Business Dean Tsu-Tan Fu, various department heads, as well as members of our AACSB task force, and once again expressed great appreciation for Soochow’s teaching resources, and learning results.

AACSB Accreditation is recognition for Soochow University’s School of Business, a boost in our efforts of signing academic exchange agreements with prestigious schools across the globe, as well as new window of opportunity to broaden horizons and learning experience for students and faculty members. Needless to say, Soochow’s School of Business is dedicated to constant and consistent improvement on all fronts of teaching, and educating the rising stars in the field of business to benefit the entire society.
