U9 League, formed by SCU and other 8 universities, officially expanded on Dec. 2017 into the Excellent Long-Established University Consortium, or U12 Consortium, with three more partners joining to broaden learning opportunities for over 20,000 students and cultivate future talents by intercollegiate cooperation.

The three new members are Chung Yuan Christian University, Feng Chia University, and Providence University. They came aboard to form the new U12 Consortium along with 9 schools including Soochow University, Tataung University, Chinese Culture University, Taipei medical University, Shih Hsin University, Tamkang University, Ming Chuan University, Fu Jen Catholic University, Shih Chien University.

By effectively integrating interschool resources, Soochow and other 11 universities would provide multiple interdisciplinary learning choices. Students in the 12 Consortium not only have chances to select intercollegiate and interdisciplinary courses, but they are also able to apply for double majors or minors in different universities and exchange to the allied schools for a whole year.

To cooperate and communicate well among the allies, in addition to the conference of presidents held regularly, administrations from each university are also engaged in 14 committees, including academic affairs, library, and accounting, etc.
