From May 20th to 26th, 2018, Dr. Galli-Debicella Alexandra and Dr. Ming-Ling Chuang of Ancell School of Business at Western Connecticut State University led eight EMBA students to Soochow University on an exchange tour in collaboration with SCU’s Department of Business Administration. served as their host.
Besides the warm welcome from the chair of the Department Prof. Mei-Ying Liu, the American students had the rare opportunity to meet with high-level executives in various industries in Taiwan. Speakers including Dimerco Express Group Chief Executive Officer Edward Lin, Vigor International Inc. President Lu-Yen Wang, and Intellectual Capital Confederation Corp. Chief Executive Officer Walter Hwa-Teh Wang all shared their valuable experiences.
During their visit, Prof. Kai-Chieh Chia of the Department of Business Administration also led the group on a tour of notable Taiwanese businesses including Praxair, Science Park Bureau, Industrial Technology Research Institute, TongLit Logistic, and Johnson Health Tech.
The highly successful international exchange received great feedback and news coverage by the local media, such as Naugatuck Patch and WCSU News, after the WCSU group returned to the U.S. Upon learning about this event, many Soochow alumni and professors home and abroad contacted the University trying to find out more
