In the academic year of 2021-22, a total of 18 among SU’s 36 SPROUT sub-projects have been recognized as “excellent,” showing an 8% increase in sub-plans of this level compared to three years ago, an indication of full efforts from many of the school’s colleges and departments, as well as their faculty and staff.
Among the 18 sub-projects, 9 are teaching projects and the other 9 are administrative ones. In addition to a significant improvement in the number of “excellent” sub-projects, the 3-year data analysis also showed a decrease of 11% in the number of “fair” sub-projects from the previous 22% back in the academic year of 2019-20.
Every year Soochow University manages and evaluates the implementation of sub-projects through annual checking and assessment meetings to ensure the fulfillment of the KPI goals in cultivating versatile students.
These sub-projects aim at revolutionizing teaching quality, fulfilling social responsibility, and practicing public value of teaching and learning, thereby cultivating π (pi)-type talents who can cope with the trend of complex changes.
