On July 26th, 2022, Soochow University inked an agreement of industry-academia collaboration with JTB Taiwan Ltd., a subsidiary of the largest travel agency in Japan, at the Waishuanghsi campus, aiming at bringing more Japanese students to SU for their overseas study and strengthening the ties between Taiwan and Japan.
On behalf of Soochow University, President Wei-Ta Pan expressed his joy to cooperate with JTB Taiwan, and assured that the curriculum, cultural experiences and campus tours provided by the program will allow Japanese students to learn about the diverse culture of Taiwan, while SU’s Japanese majors will have more opportunities for language practice and exchange, thus deepening the understanding between students from both countries.
Takagi Hiroshi, President of JTB Taiwan, said that as Taiwan provides a safe and ideal learning environment, it has been the top choice of overseas study for more than two million Japanese students every year. He believed that Japanese students will have unforgettable overseas learning experiences at Soochow University as it has diverse and rich humanistic resources, friendly students and excellent faculty.
