On November 13, 2025, a university–industry lecture at Soochow University’s Downtown Campus highlighted the growing role of cloud computing in digital transformation and professional certification. The event featured insights from Amazon Web Services (AWS), along with industry perspectives on how cloud technologies are shaping current workplace demands.

During the session, AWS speakers outlined global trends in cloud services and demonstrated how cloud-based solutions are applied across industries. The presentation also introduced the AWS Educate platform, which supports students in developing technical competence through guided learning and hands-on practice.

Industry representatives from LINE and Going Cloud further enriched the program by sharing real-world cases of digital innovation and cloud adoption. These examples illustrated how cloud technologies are implemented in diverse sectors and how such skills translate into professional practice.

Through direct exchange with industry professionals, students gained a clearer understanding of emerging technological developments while strengthening their problem-solving and innovative thinking skills. Interactive discussion and applied learning activities played a key role in connecting classroom knowledge with workplace expectations.

Professor Tse-Chuan Hsu from the Department of Information Management noted that cloud service technologies now form part of the department’s core senior-year curriculum. Students apply AWS tools to project development and technical validation and are guided toward international certifications such as the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.

In 2025, more than 40 students successfully obtained international cloud certifications and entered industry internships. These outcomes reflect the department’s ongoing effort to align academic training with professional standards.

Professor Hui-Chun Chu, Director of the Human-Centered AI Research Center, emphasized that Soochow University continues to advance industry–academia collaboration by encouraging faculty to connect research outcomes with practical business contexts. Through cooperation with international enterprises, students gain experience integrating AI and cloud technologies into applied projects.

Looking ahead, the Department of Information Management and the Human-Centered AI Research Center will further strengthen partnerships with industry. By integrating artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and applied learning, the university aims to cultivate future professionals equipped with both solid theoretical knowledge and practical expertise.
