A South Korean delegation representing Dong-il Industrial High School, Yang Young Digital High School, and Pyeongtaek University arrived in Taiwan on April 24 to strengthen educational ties. Accompanied by the SU Chinese Language Center, the group visited the National Palace Museum and Taipei Municipal Nangang High School to discuss international exchange projects.
Led by Dong-il Industrial High School Principal Hwang Hyun-Joo, Yang Young Digital High School Vice Principal Park Jong-Hee, and Pyeongtaek University Professor Park Ki-Chul, the delegation was accompanied by Yi-Ling Lin, director of the SU Chinese Language Center, to explore opportunities for sister-school partnerships and international teaching internship programs.
The delegation’s first stop was the Palace Museum, where they were personally welcomed by Director Tsung-Huang Hsiao and senior curators. Both sides explored innovative approaches to integrating Chinese antiquities into Chinese language pedagogy, aiming to develop joint international projects.
During the museum meeting, the South Korean educators and the SU Chinese Language Center reached an initial agreement to organize a winter Mandarin study program in Taiwan for Korean students.
The visitors subsequently traveled to Nangang High School, where they were received by Principal Yu-Po Huang. Discussions focused on establishing sister-school relations and creating opportunities for students to join classroom-based immersion exchange activities.
An SU official noted that this cross-institutional collaboration represented a highly meaningful practice in international education. These multi-party partnerships would pave the way for diverse student internships spanning culture, arts, and industrial professions to foster a new generation of global talents.
