SU, SinoPac Holdings Sign MOU to Cultivate and Retain International Talent

In response to the Ministry of Education’s “Program of Career Counseling and Retention in Taiwan for International Students,” Soochow University and SinoPac Financial Holdings Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on May 15, 2026, laying a solid foundation for cooperation in international talent cultivation and career development.

The MOU was inked by SU Vice President Shih-Ho Wang and SinoPac Holdings Chief Human Resources Officer Chia-Hung Liao. Representatives from both sides attended the event, demonstrating their shared commitment to international talent development.

During the signing ceremony, both sides exchanged views on future cooperation models and reached a concrete consensus on establishing an “Academic-Industry Collaborative Mentorship Framework.” The partnership will focus on international students’ competency development, corporate internships, and talent matching.

Through a closely connected resource network, the partnership aims to integrate higher education with corporate talent-retention mechanisms. It also seeks to create a comprehensive support system for international students as they transition into Taiwan’s industries.

Vice President Wang pointed out that international talent has become vital to both higher education and industrial development. In addition to strengthening professional training and international students’ Chinese language proficiency, Soochow University actively promotes corporate visits and exchange activities.

These efforts aim to enhance students’ workplace adaptability and cross-cultural competitiveness. SinoPac Holdings also noted that talent is central to sustainable corporate development and expressed hope that deeper cooperation would create more high-quality internship and employment opportunities.

Together, Soochow University and SinoPac Holdings strive to build a friendly and solid environment for international talent cultivation. The signing marks an important milestone in university-industry cooperation and brings new momentum to the partnership between the two institutes.
