To connect academic and industry resources, SU’s Smart Innovation AI Learning Center under the School of Big Data Management has partnered with CAVEDU Robot Kingdom to launch a series of AI and robotics training programs. The courses adopt NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) modules in AI, generative AI, 3D simulation, and robotics.

The program integrates the university’s GPU-based learning facilities with CAVEDU’s technical expertise led by Dr. Chi-Hung Tseng, marking a new stage in AI research and talent development. Dean of the School of Big Data Management Kai-Yi Chin said the collaboration opens a new chapter for industry-academia cooperation.

Established in April, the Smart Innovation AI Learning Center serves as a key hub for AI applications, data analytics, and virtual platform technologies. Soochow is among the few universities in Taiwan equipped with the latest RTX 50-series GPUs and advanced multimedia systems.

The first NVIDIA Robotics and Omniverse Training Course invited CAVEDU’s professional team and NVIDIA engineers to co-teach. The course focused on robotics simulation and 3D modeling, including digital twins, collaborative design, and virtual scene construction.

Chin noted that the training is not only industry support but also the start of long-term cooperation. The center will continue offering Omniverse 3D simulation courses and integrate them into the curriculum, giving students hands-on learning experience.

Through cultivating “seed students,” the center aims to link academic training with industry internships and job opportunities. Chin said future cooperation with CAVEDU and NVIDIA DLI will strengthen student learning and promote joint research and corporate exchanges.

Looking ahead, the center will keep introducing innovative projects and courses. By combining the School of Big Data Management’s resources, SU seeks to build a learning ecosystem that connects teaching, practice, and industry, fostering next-generation AI professionals.
