After full prepatation for half a semester, “The 49th Legal Winter Camp for Children” -- a subdivision of the Fundamental Legal Education Service Team at Soochow University -- was held on January 25-26, 2016, the chilliest days in Taiwan climate history, in Shuili, Nantou.
Having been set up for over twenty years, the Fundamental Legal Education Service Team (hereafter FLEST) is the first legal service association in Taiwan organized by college students. Besides editing related publications and promoting propaganda activities, FLEST has been giving summer and winter camps to train students about legal education. This 49th Legal Winter Camp, held for two days at Shuili Elementary School in Natou Province, consisted of 5 seminar masters and 33 trainees under the General Coordinator Cyuan You-Teng and the Team Leader Wong Shih-Jie, both senior students of the Law Department.
The FLEST has a resonant slogan of “Spread love and legal concepts,” and it encourages all members to put into action the motto of social service. Even though it was chilly, the Camp members felt warm-hearted in the two day' training, hoping to plant seeds of legal education among all children.
