The Ministry of Education held an Evaluation and Exhibition of Collegiate Student Clubs on March 19 to 20 at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology. The main purpose of the competition is to promote the development of student clubs on college level. The Evaluation was appraised by club files, which systematically included every document about the club so that the files can be preserved completely.
Student clubs came from everywhere of Taiwan to participate in this event, and there were 278 teams this year. The representatives of Soochow University included Rural Area Culture Service Corps, a service club which hold summer camps or winter camps for little children, and Rong Hua Hall Dormitory Association, a self-government club which was in charge of administration of Dormitory and hold several events for boarders. Participants are elites from colleges all over Taiwan so the competition was extremely intense. Nevertheless, the clubs from our school lived up our expectation and won glory for us: Christian Culture Service Club and Rong Hua Building Dormitory Association were awarded Premium and Excellent respectively.
After a two-day trip of inspecting and learning from other participants, students felt that it is honored and glad to win the prize. More importantly, they should encourage their juniors to view the club files as an important role of club operation and hand down the glory generation by generation.
