Teaming up with representatives from two other universities, students of SCU’s Department of Accounting clinched third place in the 2017 Cross-Strait University Accounting Invitational Debate Contest, hosted by Dongbei University of Finance and Economics from November 11th to 13th. In individual prizes, Han-Xian Su, senior of the Department, was honored one of this year’s best debaters.
After three days of fierce competition, the team, composed of students from Soochow University, Shih Chien University and National Chengchi University, came out third among a total of 20 teams.
The debate contest was initiated in 2002 by Taiwan’s Accounting Research and Development Foundation and Accounting Research Monthly, and has come into its 14th year, aiming to provide a platform for more and deeper exchange and interaction among college students from China and Taiwan majoring in accounting.
