SCU Honors 20 Professors as “Distinguished Professor” for Outstanding Academic Performances

Twenty Soochow professors were awarded the title of distinguished professor as an honor for their excellence and achievement in research and teaching. At the first school administration meeting of the 2018 semester in September, SCU President Wei-Ta Pan presented certificates in person to the professors, who would enjoy the privilege of a five-year long-term hiring contract.

This is also the first time in Soochow’s history to grant such an honor to those who has served as Academician of the Academia Sinica or has received SCU’s outstanding research award for five times, or outstanding teaching award for three times, or a total of both awards for four times, or has been the major hosts of research projects sponsored by Ministry of Science and Technology for twenty times.
