SCU Men's Basketball Team Wins Fourth Place in UBA Tournament

The Soochow men's basketball team made their way out of more than 100 teams throughout the country, and clinched the fourth place in the 2018-19 University Basketball Association (UBA) Tournament. It has written another wonderful chapter in the history of men's basketball team at Soochow University. 

The team had started training twice a week since the beginning of the semester,  and added more training during the winter break. This time, under the coaching of director of the Office of Physical Education Jie De Dong Fang (東方介德) and the encouragement of teachers and alumni, they defeated many teams and finished the fourth in the end.

As the biggest annual event in Taiwan’s college basketball, this year’s UBA tournament was held at Hsing Wu University, Takming University of Science and Technology, and I-Shou University from November 2018 to March 2019.

This year, more than 100 universities and colleges, such as National Taipei University of Technology, Tunghai University, National Dong Hwa University, I-Shou University and Soochow University, participated in the fierce competition.
