Soochow University’s Goodwill Ethnic Jazz Dancing Group and You Fang Hall Dorm life Promotion Club won an Excellence Award and two A-level Awards respectively in the “2019 National Collegiate Student Club Evaluation” held by the Ministry of Education on March 30th & 31st.
The two clubs stood out from the fierce competition among a total of 258 clubs from 136 universities and colleges across the nation. The Jazz Dancing Group nabbed the top prize in the category of sports clubs, while the Dorm life Promotion Club was rated A in two categories – autonomous clubs and general clubs.
Both clubs had gone through long and diligent preparations since they decided to represent Soochow to enter this year’s competition around December, 2018. Their winning not only marked the culmination of years of hard work on the part of student organizations, but also highlighted Soochow’s long-term commitment to the promotion of student activities.
