Soochow’s School of Business signed a three-year industry-academia collaboration memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Capital Securities Corporation (CSC) at Downtown campus on October 21st, 2021.

This contract included a popular course “Practice and Operate of Capital Market” in which SU students would personally operate fractional stock and learn professional knowledge under the instructions by the company’s chairman and general manager.

As the impact of COVID-19 and the developing trend of digitalization in finance have aroused the public awareness of digital financial investment, the capital market has also changed by remote working and therefore cultivating business elites that meet the requirements has become an urgent issue.

According to SU President Wei-Ta Pan, the capital market is the core of digital finance, and with the help of technology, the otherwise traditional financial transaction will be more efficient, safer and more applicable in consumers’ daily use.

Alex Jiunn-Chih Wang, Chairman of CSC, give his praise to SU for cultivating interdisciplinary students and fulfilling social responsibility through solid courses and innovative research for decades.

Chung-Tao Chia, General Manager of CSC, expressed that in the pandemic era and in response to the rapid change of the capital market, the financial industry needs more talents, especially in the securities industry.

Dean of SU School of Business Tsu-Tan Fu believed that CSC’s resources would be of great help in enhancing students’ professional capabilities in many fields, and that Soochow business majors will be the top choice in Taiwan’s financial industry.
