Standing out from 424 participating institutes, including 48 universities, 24 hospitals and 20 government agencies, Soochow University clinched a silver medal in the category of Corporate Sustainability Report Award in the 15th Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA), topping last year’s result of a bronze medal.
For only the second time participating in the competition of this category, Soochow had fully disclosed and presented how it has managed its school affairs related to sustainability and corporate social responsibility according to the Sustainability Reporting Standards established by Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
The award marked a culmination of Soochow’s efforts in achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs) as the school had also won two bronze awards with its Third-Mile round-island biking tour and its campus kitchen waste recycle project in 2022 Taiwan Sustainability Action Awards (TSAA).
Organized by Taiwan Academy of Corporate Sustainability, the 2022 TCSA consisted of four categories: Outstanding Corporate Sustainability Professionals (永續傑出人物), Corporate Comprehensive Performance (永續綜合績效), Corporate Sustainability Report (永續報告), and Best Sustainability Practice (永續單項績效).
