Soochow outstanding alumnus Frank Liu, the founder and CEO of Franklin Templeton Securities Investment Consulting (SinoAm) Inc. (Dept. of Political Science, Class of 1977) donated NT$12 million to School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, which marked the largest-ever amount granted to a single academic school/college in Taiwan.
For the purpose of scholarships, the fund will be given to the freshman of School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences who applied to SU this year and perform excellently in the 2023-24 academic year, with each of a total of 120 potential awardees receiving NT$ 100,000.
Facing the rapidly changing society and job markets, the School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences is dedicating itself to nurturing future talents by connecting humanities and technologies which will equip students with multiple abilities to meet the challenges.
